This is a multipurpose position in which duties range from carrying out basic patient care tasks as directed by a licensed therapist to overseeing a variety of operational activities for the department.
Scope
As an Activities Coordinator with us, you will know how to :
- Plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operations of the department in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
- Assess our residents and patients to determine their needs, preferences, abilities and strengths
- Develop individualized activity plans to promote social cognitive, spiritual and overall wellbeing of our patients and residents
- Create and promote group activities to enhance the quality of life of those in our care by interacting with peers and multigenerational groups
- Continually expand your knowledge and develop staff reporting to you
- Help improve our facility and safety programs
- Communicate compassionately and effectively.
