Job Description
The Critical Care Flight Nurse role involves providing critical care to patients across various age groups, from neonatal to adult. This requires advanced critical thinking capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide critical care to patients with complex medical conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized plans of care
- Perform assessments, evaluations, and interventions as needed
- Direct medical care via delegation, coordination, and collaboration
- Promote nursing profession and education, and actively participate in self-development and peer development
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
- Three years of Critical Care/Emergency Department or Labor and Delivery experience
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy
