Job Description:
- Main Responsibilities: Perform a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes, utilizing ingenuity, initiative, and independent judgment to produce high-quality scans.
- Key Skills: Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and preparation; perform exams according to department protocol; understand cross-sectional anatomy and demonstrate anatomical positioning competency.
- Radiation Safety: Familiar with the ALARA program and follow proper radiation safety protocols to ensure patient safety and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Certifications and Qualifications: Radiography Certification/Registration (ARRT), relevant state licensure (where required), demonstrated CT proficiency, and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: CT Certification/Registration (ARRT) and 1 year(s) of CT experience.
