Job Overview:
This position requires a skilled Echocardiography Technologist to perform various types of cardiac ultrasounds, including echocardiograms, stress echos, and TEEs. The successful candidate will work closely with physicians to identify abnormalities and diagnose patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare exam rooms, obtain informed consent, and review patient history to determine protocol selection.
- Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures to evaluate internal organs and vessels for disease diagnosis.
- Assess patient status and needs, complete diagnostic techniques/tests, and perform necessary interventions.
- Review and evaluate completed tests for quality, completeness, and type ordered.
- Coordinate image preparation, documentation, and communication with physician partners.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- RDCS or RCS certification required; new graduates must obtain registry within 18 months.
- Healthcare Provider Life Support certification required.
- Associate's degree preferred; one year of ultrasound experience also preferred.
