Job Summary
We are seeking a Healthcare Radiographer to join our radiology team. As a Healthcare Radiographer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality x-ray images of specified body areas as directed by physicians or radiologists.
- Performing x-ray procedures using portable machines as requested by the Emergency Department and nursing units.
- Processing films for radiologists reading/interpretation following established procedures.
- Preparing or cleaning patient rooms by changing linens, stocking supplies, and wiping off tables and equipment to ensure an efficient and clean working environment.
- Maintaining patient information as needed by purging or updating patient film jackets and/or filing reports or film files to ensure accurate patient records.
- Maintaining imaging and processing equipment by performing scheduled cleanings and tests and documenting results.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have completed an approved radiological training program and meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). A minimum of one year of experience in a setting serving the same age/type of patient population served by this facility or department is highly desirable.
