General Surgery Advanced Practice Provider

Job Description:

This position is accountable for the provision of patient care and other activities as permitted by licensure and defined within Credentialing and Privileging documentation (hospital), Credentialing and Scope of Practice (Medical Group), Delegation of Services Agreement (DOPL) or other similar documentation as appropriate. As part of that patient care, this position is accountable to: deliver optimal patient care through effective clinical practice; education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others; consultation with other healthcare providers; and maintain current knowledge regarding options for optimal patient care and outcomes.

About this role:

As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in General Surgery, you will work with Dr. Porter and Dr. Guercio who are committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role you will working in clinic expanding patient access, surgery coordination, follow-up surgical care, complete preoperative assessments, educate patients about procedures, address patient concerns, provide follow up surgical care, manage pain, and wound care.

• This position includes up to $7,500 in relocation assistance when applicable
• You will practice at Cassia Surgery Clinic in Burley, Idaho
• You will work 8a – 5p Monday – Thursday and 8a – 12pm on Friday, there is no call associated with this position
• You will see 10 – 12 patients per clinic day

What you’ll bring:

• APRN or PA-C degree from an accredited program, required
• AANP or AAPA certification, required
• Previous surgical and hospital experience, preferred
• Active, unobstructed Idaho license, or the ability to obtain one, required
• BLS, ACLS certification and DEA Active, unobstructed Idaho medical license, or the ability to obtain one, required
• Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process, required
