Job Description:
Obstetric Hospitalist/Laborist (Obstetrics)
- Intermountain Health is seeking one BC/BE OB/GYN Hospitalist/Laborist to support St. George Regional Hospital.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain safety, quality of care, positive culture, and growth of program on the Labor and Delivery unit.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through evidence-based practices, inter and intradisciplinary collaboration, and reading current ACOG/SMFM guidelines.
- Leadership role in maintaining a positive culture, creating an environment where everyone is heard, communication is key, and morale is high.
- Innovate and improve the labor and delivery services by staying up-to-date with national and local best practices.
- Work 6-24 hour shifts per month, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
Requirements:
- B/C or B/E OB/GYN with at least one year of obstetric practice experience beyond residency.
- Formal training in electronic fetal monitoring interpretation.
- Licensed to practice medicine in the State of Utah.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification.
