About the Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) in Labor and Delivery is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in a Level II Trauma Center. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, providing individualized treatment plans, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations while maintaining a safe environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Assess and address patients' psychological and physical needs, developing individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care and oversee LPNs and CNAs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to hospital and regulatory guidelines.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications, and recognize potential complications.
- Actively engage in communication with physicians and other healthcare providers regarding patient conditions and treatment plans.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families.
- Promote a safe, compassionate, and healing environment for all patients.
