Mammography Technologist Job Description
The Mammography Technologist performs radiographic mammography procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic films for detecting breast tissue abnormalities.

- Department Location: Intermountain Health Park City Hospital
- Scheduled Weekly Hours: Part-time, 20 hours
- Sign on Bonus: Up to $1500 for eligible applicants

Job Essentials:
- Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
- Performs radiologic mammography exams per department protocol, including advanced procedures like stereotactic biopsies, clip placements, drainages, etc.
- Demonstrates positioning competency.
- Knowledgeable regarding breast self-examinations via answering questions and providing written materials to patients.
- Operates the mammographic equipment to ensure high-quality diagnostic images are produced.
- Avoids radiation exposure to patients and staff while meeting ALARA program requirements.
- Stays up-to-date on new procedures and equipment to maintain high-level skills.
- Maintains records required by JCAHO and the Utah State Bureau of Radiation Control.
Minimum Qualifications:
- ARRT registration
- Current Rad Tech license in the state of practice
- Must meet and maintain mammography-specific ACR&FDA/MQSA requirements
- Must meet and maintain ARRT Advanced Mammography Certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with CT and X-Ray
- Experience in Imaging or Mammography
