Job Overview
">The Registered Radiology Technologist III plays a crucial role in performing medical imaging examinations under the direction of a physician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produces high-quality x-ray images of specified body areas as directed by the physician or radiologist.
- Positions and instructs patients regarding x-ray procedures, ensuring clear and undistorted films.
- Performs x-ray procedures using portable machines as requested by Emergency Department and nursing units.
- Processes films for radiologists reading/interpretation following established procedures.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, healthcare team members, and physicians both in-person and via telephone.
- Maintains x-ray and other equipment in efficient operating order, ensuring preventative maintenance is performed on a regularly scheduled basis.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Successful completion of an approved radiological training program and the ability to meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), required.
- Current license/certification in the state of practice, required.
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, required.
- At least one (1) year of diagnostic radiology experience, preferred.
