Job Description:
This role involves performing a variety of CT procedures using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. You will be responsible for using your skills and knowledge to perform high-quality scans, working independently to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. In addition, you will be required to administer oral barium products or intravenous contrast material to patients, as ordered by physicians and under radiologist or physician supervision.
You will also be responsible for following appropriate protocol for medical necessity, coding, and charging, obtaining consents if necessary, documenting any events that may occur, and maintaining a current QC program for ACR.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Radiography Certification/Registration (ARRT)
* Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (healthcare)
* CT Certification/Registration (ARRT)
