Nurse Manager in Emergency Department
Oversees daily operations, ensuring safe and effective patient care. Leads by example to promote a culture of safety and support professional growth among staff.
Job Description:
- Develops staffing matrices for quality patient care, evaluates staffing patterns, and recruits new associates.
- Demonstrates an understanding of labor laws and organizational policies related to human resources.
- Conducts associate evaluations, facilitates education, and promotes professional development.
Clinical Practice Knowledge:
- Demonstrates growing knowledge of patient populations and standards of care delivery.
Performance Improvement:
- Facilitates performance improvement by identifying key performance indicators and developing action plans.
- Routinely assesses patient satisfaction and develops strategies to improve the patient experience.
Leadership:
- Effectively manages conflicts, promotes collaborative relationships, and engages in personal growth and professional development.
- Aplies Just Culture principles in evaluating events.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a BSN degree.
- Current license to practice in the state of assignment (or ability to obtain license).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
Physical Requirements:
- Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information.
