About the Role
As a Occupational Therapist - Neurological Rehabilitation Specialist at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team in providing high-quality patient care. You will work closely with patients and their families to develop personalized therapy programs that address their unique needs and goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients upon initial encounter to determine the need for occupational therapy intervention
- Develop realistic goals with patient input and explain treatment plans and goals to patients
- Implement treatment or supervise treatment provided by Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants or occupational therapy students
- Communicate effectively with physicians, other members of the rehabilitation team, and others as indicated regarding treatment plans and patient responses to plans
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy
- Current license as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association
- At least one (1) year of experience in an outpatient setting serving a neurological population
