The Radiation Therapist will work closely with the Radiation Oncologist and other members of the healthcare team to ensure the highest level of patient care. Key responsibilities include:
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have:Graduation from an accredited radiation therapy program ARRT and RT(T) certifications in radiation therapy and current license in state of practice (if applicable) Current BLS certification
The Radiation Therapist will work closely with the Radiation Oncologist and other members of the healthcare team to ensure the highest level of patient care. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing patients for treatment by explaining procedures, reinforcing instructions, and verifying treatment plans
- Administering ionizing radiation for therapeutic purposes in accordance with prescriptions and maintaining accurate records
- Developing x-rays and port films as needed, filing them accordingly
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
