About the Role:
The Interventional Radiology Technologist is responsible for acquiring and processing radiographic images using Interventional Radiology equipment. This role requires effective communication with patients, obtaining informed consents and pertinent clinical history, ensuring optimal results.
Responsibilities:
- Acquire, manipulate, and process computer-enhanced and radiographic images utilizing Interventional Radiology equipment.
- Communicate with patients to obtain informed consents, pertinent clinical history, and ensure optimal results.
- Collaborate and plan with Radiologists, referring physicians, and technologists for the selection of procedural protocols.
This role also involves assisting in the coordination of patient care activities, providing appropriate tray set-ups, and performing surgical scrub procedures utilizing thorough knowledge of sterile technique.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an AMA-approved radiologic technology program.
- Current ARRT (R) credential.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cross-sectional and vascular anatomy and skill in recognition of normal and abnormal variants.
- Demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety.
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association.
