- Performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including mammography and breast ultrasound.
- Reviewing and evaluating completed tests for quality, completeness, and type of test ordered.
- Documenting and communicating patient-related information accurately and thoroughly.
- Ensuring safe and effective handoffs between shifts by communicating clearly with oncoming staff.
- Practicing radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation exposure.
Required Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
- A graduate degree from an accredited American Registry of Radiologic Technology Program.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) as a Registered Technologist.
- Registry with the ARRT as a Certified Mammographer within 18 months of hire.
- Radiologic Technologist state licensure, if applicable.
- Health Care Provider Life Support certification.
