Key Responsibilities
As a Diagnostic X-ray Technician, your key responsibilities will include:
- Producing high-quality x-ray images of specified body areas as directed by physicians or radiologists.
- Performing x-ray procedures using portable machines as requested by the Emergency Department and nursing units.
- Processing films for radiologists reading/interpretation following established procedures.
- Preparing or cleaning patient rooms by changing linens, stocking supplies, and wiping off tables and equipment to ensure an efficient and clean working environment.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you must have completed an approved radiological training program and meet the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). A minimum of one year of experience in a setting serving the same age/type of patient population served by this facility or department is highly desirable.
