Job Essentials
- Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam.
- Sensitive to patients' needs throughout the procedure, explaining the process to facilitate cooperation and alleviate anxiety.
- Performs radiologic exams that produce quality images and ensures patient and staff safety by following protocols, correct positioning, equipment use, and radiation protection guidelines.
- Utilizes sterile technique when performing invasive procedures.
- Recognizes emergent patient situations and responds quickly and appropriately.
- Thoroughly completes documentation, including time stamps and image storage.
- Coordinates patient care and communicates information to other providers after the procedure.
- Maintains a clean, safe environment, ensuring organized supply storage.
- Pursues education and career development opportunities, focusing on new procedures and equipment.
- Assists and instructs students and colleagues in exam protocols, positioning, and equipment use.
Minimum Qualifications
- ARRT registration.
- Current Rad Tech license (if working in Utah).
- BLS certification for Healthcare providers.
- May require completion of Medical Assistant Competency Checklist within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- IV certification.
