Job Description:
The Clinical Therapist utilizes clinical expertise to perform psychosocial assessments, develop and implement plans of care appropriate for the care team, assess crisis situations to provide needed resources and referrals for the patient, and provide family and individual treatment as indicated.
Mental Health Integration (MHI)
Mental Health Integration is collaborative mental health care integrated into everyday primary care practice. Primary Care Providers and office staff collaborate with care managers and mental health specialists to implement individualized strategies for patients and families.
Scope
This position provides care according to the established plan of care in the assigned patient population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the patient's medical history, mental health history, and current presentation to understand their needs from treatment.
- Diagnoses and treats various mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
- Develops a plan of care either individually or with input from the patient, patient family, and significant others, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Refers patients to other services to improve their well-being.
- Acts as an advocate on behalf of patients and families, ensuring effective communication with the multidisciplinary care team, outside agencies, and other resources as necessary.
Requirements:
- Doctorate degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D) in Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current Utah license as a psychologist, adhering to all appropriate standards of practice as outlined by the American Psychological Association, State Licensing Board, and Intermountain Healthcare.
- Or Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution, with current State Licensure as LCSW or LMFT.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Work Environment:
This role works collaboratively with patients, patient's significant other, families, healthcare providers, insurers, community resources, and all other involved parties. The hourly range for this position is $49.86 - $76.93.
