The seven-room OR at Park City Hospital handles specialized orthopedic cases, including total joint cases, spinal discs and fusions, general surgery, urology, GYN, Neuro and plastic surgery. Additionally, we perform all C-sections.
Park City Hospital implemented a robotics program in April 2023. Our RNs and surgical techs are trained to work with the new DaVinci robot.
Shift Details
Surgical Services shifts are primarily Monday-Friday, daytime work, offering 10- and 12-hour shifts, allowing for part-time or full-time hours depending on personal circumstances and availability.
Some limited evening shifts with set schedules are available for those who want to work off-hours, accommodating family or school obligations.
Due to emergencies and late cases, daytime staff may be required to take evening and weekend call.
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Current RN License in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Basic computer skills
Nurses must obtain their BSN degree within five years of starting date.
Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications are preferred but not required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Educated from an accredited institution

Physical Requirements
The physical demands of this role include:
- Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies
- Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors requiring verbal communication, hearing, and understanding spoken information
- Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment
- Lifting and utilizing full range of movement to transfer patients
- Bending to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment
- Walking and assisting with transporting/ambulating patients and obtaining and distributing supplies and equipment
