Job Summary:
This role involves conducting boat rentals and dock duties while ensuring passenger safety and compliance with policies. Key responsibilities include providing information about Yellowstone, maintaining boat cleanliness, inspecting rentals, and fostering positive relationships with guests and coworkers.
The Details:Position Type: SeasonalSeason Dates: May/June 2025 - September 2025Pay: $15.45/hourSchedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
- Understand and follow company policies and procedures
- Provides professional and courteous service to guests at Yellowstone
- Actively promote and sell marina activities
- Accurately handle payments, maintain a proper bank, and balance cash drawers
- Instruct guests on rental boat operation, safety regulations, and local weather patterns
- Maintain radio contact with boats during operations
- Work in an environmentally conscious manner while maintaining a clean work area
- Establish positive relationships with coworkers, NPS (National Park Service), and management, assisting in various marina operations as needed
Qualifications
- Must provide own form of reliable transportation to get to and from work (3 miles from Lake Village housing to the Bridge Bay Marina)Ability to learn technical aspects of the booking process, including computer operations
- Typing skills
- Ability to learn quickly and follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work thoroughly and quickly under pressure
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Human relation skills- must be a people person who thrives on public contact
- Knowledge of company accounting procedures
- Knowledge of Yellowstone activities, services, and operations
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of rules and procedures for use of marine band radio
- Knowledge of safety, emergency, and life-saving procedures
- Knowledge of park geography and history with a focus on Lake area
- Public speaking skills
- Knowledge of NPS (National Park Service) boating and fishing regulations
- Knowledge of weather patterns
Physical Requirements include:
- Must be capable of lifting objects up to 25 pounds
- Must be capable of sitting and standing throughout a 10 hour shift
- Must be capable of working at an elevation in excess of 7700 feet
