Job Summary:Oversees the housekeeping team to ensure efficient operations, adherence to cleanliness standards, and compliance with safety protocols while effectively managing labor budgets and inventory.
The Details:Position Type: SeasonalSeason Dates: April 24 through October 7, 2025Pay: $1,880.00 bi-weeklySchedule: Typical schedule is 50-55 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities
- Assign daily housekeeping tasks and schedules based on occupancy levels to ensure smooth operations.
Monitor staff performance through regular observations, evaluations, and coaching to foster growth and efficiency.
Maintain labor budgets by managing staffing levels in alignment with the Lodging Department’s budget.
Accurately complete and submit daily and weekly reports on housekeeping operations and performance.
Oversee inventory levels and ensure proper supplies are maintained through the Supply Inventory System.
Enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure all safety protocols are followed.
Uphold company and departmental environmental, safety, and housekeeping policies and procedures.
Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the overall success of the housekeeping team.
Qualifications
At least one year of experience in a hotel environment.
Previous experience in a housekeeping management or supervisory role preferred.
Ability to perform all housekeeping tasks as needed.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to maintain high cleanliness standards.
Clear and professional communication skills.
Strong leadership skills to motivate and guide the housekeeping team toward shared goals and deadlines.
Proficiency in computers, including Microsoft Office.
A valid driver’s license with a good driving record is preferred.
Physical Requirements include:
- Lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds as needed throughout the day. Constant lifting and carrying of supplies and linens throughout the shift.
- Making beds, bending, kneeling, stretching, and reaching as needed for up to 8 hours per shift.
- Standing for long periods of time, frequent walking up and down stairs, as well as in outdoor areas sporadically throughout the shift.
- Pushing a hotel cart or cabin cart up to 50-75 pounds as needed.
- Working safely with required chemicals.
