Summary
As a Practice Manager at Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, you will oversee the daily operations of our primary care office, ensuring efficient service delivery and optimal patient experiences. This role is vital in supporting our mission to provide exceptional healthcare while managing resources effectively.
We are seeking a motivated Practice Manager to oversee all administrative and business operations for a private physician owned primary care practice.
In conjunction with physician leadership, the Practice Manager is responsible for the management of the practice and staffing coordination, in addition to promotion of office efficiency, high quality patient experience and strong financial performance. This position leads support staff and serves as the day-to-day point person on practice administrative and infrastructure issues. Also, performs human resource functions and uses strong communication skills to promote a collaborative and professional team. Responsible for accurately organizing, documenting and tracking financial operations.
Clinic Management:
-Implement and manage effective workplace procedures.
-Ensure practice is compliant with all relevant laws, regulations and standards.
-Create monthly financial reports and work with accountant to ensure accuracy.
-Supervise billing procedures.
-Manage payroll processes including timekeeping and time off approvals.
-Monitor practice performance metrics and implement improvement initiatives.
-Promote and support the growth of the practice.
-Collaborate and communicate well with physician partners.
-Develop provider call schedule.
-Serve as the point of contact for concerns raised by patients or staff and proactively seek out resolutions.
-Troubleshoot IT issues and maintenance problems.
Personnel Management:
-Oversee and manage staff schedules, and independently manage staffing during shortages, vacations, and unexpected absences.
-Perform routine and annual performance reviews of staff, with input from physicians.
-Responsible for hiring, supervising, training and terminating nonclinical staff.
-Regularly review and update office manuals.
-Support continuous professional development of office staff and set goals, monitor progress and broaden skill sets.
-Establish and maintain effective communication to promote collaborative workplace environment.
-Act on matters of discipline, promotion, salary, problem resolution and other personnel issues.
-Approve staff vacations, sick time and other absences. Review and approve staff payroll.

-Minimum 3 years of Practice Management experience.

-Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively and efficiently.
