What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Internal Medicine & Family Physicians?
Responsibilities include:
-Obtaining and documenting vital signs including but not limited to: blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, health history, current medications and presenting problems.
-Perform tests including, but not limited to EKGs, injections, rapid strep, influenza, and protime.
-Schedule patients for diagnostic testing and referrals.
-Communicate with patients about test results and plan of care, including prescription renewals and inquiries.
-Prepare examination rooms and equipment for treatment of patients by sterilizing instruments and stocking exam rooms.
-Perform other related duties as assigned.
-Must be able to think and work independently.
-Experience with EHR preferred.
*Candidate will need to have a current or be in the process of getting:
-NE Medication Aide licensure
-CPR certification
**Candidate must have graduated from an accredited Medical Assisting training program.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 42 per week
