Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in both clinical and administrative functions within our facility, and answering phones. The Medical Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring patient comfort and safety while assisting healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality care.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform basic life support (BLS) as needed.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the clinic or treatment area.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance patient care and clinic efficiency.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with outpatient clinic operations is preferred.
- Knowledge of urgent care protocols is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to trauma care, dermatology, and other specialties as needed.
