Primary Duties
- Understand and effectively utilize all employee safety programs to ensure proper procedures are followed. Act immediately upon unsafe conditions or behavior
- Staging of required raw materials and packaging materials
- Requires ability to follow a recipe to create a blend to be mixed
- Requires ability to follow procedures to package product in various packaging types
- Completion of in process production checks
- Document, inspect and unload materials per written procedures
- Prepare products for shipment, load trucks and complete required paperwork
- Requires ability to operate a fork truck and floor scrubber
- Maintain warehouse and production areas in a clean and orderly condition
- Perform routine and non-routing cleaning inside and outside of the facility
- Ability to accurately report data and maintain records
- Mechanical aptitude and trouble-shooting skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Secondary Duties
- Special projects as assigned by management.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

- Food product packaging and/or blending experience preferred.
- Shipping and/ or receiving experience preferred.
- Ability to coordinate multiple priorities and follow through to completion.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and trouble-shooting skills.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work.
- Computer proficiency required.
- Solid understanding of basic math and science and the ability to apply this knowledge.
- Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be detail oriented and safety minded
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Language Skills
Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence. Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Perform basic mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Perform simple mathematical analysis using the units of weight, volume and distance.
Ability to accurately count multiple configurations of inventoried product and raw materials.
Reasoning Ability
Must have strong troubleshooting skills. Must use common sense and solid judgement when making decisions.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
Ability to be forklift certified required.
