What are the responsibilities and job description for the Van Driver position at International Auto Processing?
At IAP LLC, the Van Driver is responsible for overseeing individual accounts. Responsible for the processing of new shipments, vehicle movements, and disposition to load lines. The Van Driver will maintain an in-depth knowledge of account procedures and accountability for meeting specified production goals.
Essential Duties :
- Drive a shuttle van.
- Communicate work assignments to drivers and monitor progress toward completion throughout the day.
- Record daily activity on a computer tablet as well as a written report.
- Plan vehicle movements in a manner that results in minimal wait time for drivers and consolidate movement whenever possible.
- Trouble shoot as needed to facilitate the processing of damaged units or other units requiring special attention.
- Ensure a spotter is used when backing up vehicles.
- Serve as a role model to other employees in both work performance and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Must monitor and promote cleanliness on the shuttle van and all IAP zones.
- Promote the goal of safety and the prevention of on-the-job accidents resulting in injury to employees and property.
- Maintain a safe working environment and follow all policies and procedures regarding safety.
- Must monitor, dissuade, and report any unacceptable acts of conduct of team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
