Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate activities of hourly Maintenance Technicians, MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) staff, and Janitorial personnel.
- Provide coaching, performance feedback, and training to develop technical and safety skills. Monitor daily attendance, assign work orders, and manage shift coverage.
- Preventive & Predictive Maintenance Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance (PM/PdM) schedules to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Analyze equipment history and performance trends using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) data.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to optimize equipment reliability and availability. Troubleshooting & Repairs Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting efforts on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Oversee high-priority repairs to ensure safe and timely equipment restoration.
- Enforce safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), PPE use, and hazard reporting.
- Coordinate training and certification for team members in relevant safety practices.
- Vendor & Contractor Oversight: Manage relationships with on-site contractors and outside service providers.
- Verify scope, quality, and safety compliance of external maintenance work.
- Support Use CMMS to manage work orders, track inventory, and report downtime. Conduct skilled trade assessments and participate in candidate interviews.
- Communicate shift updates and operational issues during daily production meetings.
- Support cross-functional initiatives including Lean/Kaizen events and equipment upgrades.
What We're Looking For
- 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive industry strongly preferred)
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial equipment
- Familiarity with CMMS software (e.g., MP2, Fiix, eMaint, or similar) and Microsoft Excel/Word
- Proven ability to lead diverse teams and make sound decisions under pressure
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills Knowledge of quality systems (IATF 16949 or ISO 9001) and safety standards (OSHA, LOTO)
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates or Technical Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or related field
- Certifications such as OSHA 30, NFPA 70E, TPM, or CMRT
- Experience in lean manufacturing, 5S, or Six Sigma initiatives
