About the Job
This role will be a central point for all content work published across diverse platforms and will oversee editorial workflows and quality assurance processes of all content presented on the orginasation's various channels. The copywriter will work to create written content in line with audiences and strategy, reporting directly to the Senior Manager for External Communications. This role works closely with key stakeholders within the organisation, to deliver relevant and engaging content, and achieve the orginasation's business goals for growth, development and retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Writes copy for projects as assigned, including projects related to communications, print, publications, video scripts, and websites.
- Writes clear, consistent and error-free content guarding the organisational narrative that reflects the IB's mission.
- Interprets creative direction and technical information to effectively create persuasive copy concepts based on regional data for targeted outreach in 160 countries.
- Manages and produces content tailored to a range of geographically and technologically diverse channels and audiences.
- Ensures a consistent tone of voice and key themes across all externally facing content.
- Represents the organisation internally and externally to build brand awareness and promote reputational management through key messaging that is persuasive and targeted across a range of stakeholder audiences.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Marketing, or Communications OR equivalent years experience of copywriting and/or business development experience.
- Highly capable web/digital editorial skills are essential, with several years of experience creating digital copy.
- Experience liaising and working directly with multiple stakeholders within a large organisation and externally.
- Experience working on multilingual channels is an advantage.
- Business fluent in English, Knowledge of French and/or Spanish an advantage.
- Proven experience of digital marketing and communications, including social media. Experience in education or non-profit sector desired but not required.

About the application process
The interview process is structured to be comprehensive and will involve three stages. The initial rounds will assess the candidate's qualifications and fit for the role, leading up to a final interview with the Hiring Manager and Head of Department. In the second round, candidates will meet with another member of the External Comms team who they will be closely partnering with. For the final interview with the Hiring Manager and Head of Department, qualifying candidates will be asked to complete a short activity that highlights their skillset. Candidates should prepare thoroughly for each stage to advance in the selection process.
