About the Job
The Edtech Solution Architect is responsible for developing and validating a world-class solution architecture for professional learning, against business requirements that supports the vision of the IB organization. This role helps teams follow the envisioned business and technology direction by articulating the architectural vision for the systems the IB uses for professional learning, including content creation, monetization, and delivery.
Job Duties and Key Accountabilities :
- Collaborates with other domain experts whilst retaining accountability of the solution architecture.
- Promotes and champions technical architecture strategy through strong communication.
- Establish cadence of interaction throughout the architecture team, IT department, project teams and the IB in general to ensure alignment
- Enforcing internal standards, industry best practices and procedures to drive solution architecture work in a uniform manner. Monitoring, guidance and regular workshops held within the team to ensure alignment is maintained and deliverables and processes are constantly improving and evolving in line with organizational changes.
- Support SDLC in place in the application development team and the solution design and project management processes in place within the project office
- Demonstrate good understanding of business planning, leading both business and technical colleagues throughout the course of solution development
- Align IT solutions with business functions and interface with stakeholder groups to help them envision the solution value and how it will benefit them in the longer term
- Identify providers as per procurement guidelines.
- Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources as well as to collaborate with cross-function project teams to provision estimates, develop overall implementation solution plan.
- Oversee aspects of project life cycle from initial kick-off through requirements analysis, design and implementation phases for projects.
- Interface and coordinate tasks with internal and external technical resources to ensure all requirements are met. Helps project team recognize and mitigate any risk to existing business processes or to the solution's overall success.
- Review and approve project deliverables to ensure that they are architecturally sound and meet business needs

The interview process is structured to be comprehensive and will involve three stages. The initial rounds will assess the candidate's qualifications and fit for the role, leading up to a final interview with the Head of Department. In the second round, candidates will demonstrate their problem-solving abilities and industry and technology knowledge. Candidates should prepare thoroughly for each stage to advance in the selection process.
