IBLCE is looking for an Associate Director, IT & Special Projects to join our team. This individual will oversee organizational design, implementation and maintenance of its information technology (IT), networks, educational products and facilitate projects for the global headquarters.

Duties, Responsibilities and Related Experience:
Key duties include overseeing IBLCE’s IT infrastructure, inclusive of hardware and software, VOIP system, MSA provider, and take an active role in spearheading the technological infrastructure of IBLCE’s new training startup, The Centre for Global Lactation Training (GCLT)™ (The Centre). The Associate Director will manage and oversee vendors, assist in project management and organizational planning, and strive to create efficient standard procedure protocols (SOPs) for the organization at large.
This role requires experience in IT, project management and, to some degree, administration/operations and training. A successful candidate will be able to communicate technical issues and project process and progress to non-technical stakeholders, including senior management, identify security improvements, make periodic recommendations and implement solutions, serve as the point person for new technology projects, execute technical projects within budget and quality goals, maintain and oversee the implementation of project management standards across the organisation and provide training as needed, and negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
Other aspects of the role include but are not limited to advising on and managing Cyber Security insurance, potential Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies for organization, Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance, equipment inventory management as it pertains to property tax filing, and GDPR compliance.
A successful candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter and have demonstrated experience working with senior management and complex processes within an international-oriented organization.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred, with at least 5 years relevant work experience in IT management or similar role, with a focus on project management, technology implementation and maintenance.
· Proven experience in managing cross-functional projects, and ability to provide high level expertise across a broad range of business and/or IT related subject matter areas.
· Strong understanding of IT systems, cloud technologies, network architecture, and cybersecurity.
· PMP® (Project Management Professional certification) preferred.
· Technical product management experience preferred.
· Familiarity with NetDocuments preferred.
· Demonstrated experience organising and managing complex documents (digital and paper) systems.
· Experience using and training others in the use of technology systems.
· Dedication to continuous quality improvement and process management.
· Proven, tactful and professional interpersonal relationship skills with the ability to work with individuals from broad geographical and cultural backgrounds.
· Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with sensitivity to cultural and geographical differences. Ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Work Environment:
It is an office setting with a moderate level of noise from computers, printers, and light traffic.
Some evening work required given time zone issues and occasional weekend work required.
Location:
The position is located in Fairfax, VA, and is currently a hybrid position with 3 days of work in-office. Candidates will need to reside within the DMV area to be eligible for the position.
Travel:
Potential domestic and international travel, not to exceed 10%-15%.
