Station Manager – New Castle, Delaware Facility
Overview
We seek a dedicated and experienced Station Manager to oversee operations at our facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient day-to-day management, maintaining high service standards, and leading a team of professionals. This role requires strong organizational skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Responsibilities: The Station Manager has full-line authority and is responsible for directing and managing the facility's operational systems and services.
- Required to monitor, track, control, and direct all personnel assigned to the station.
- Directly responsible for the assurance of service to all customer requirements for all volumes in the care and custody of the company.
- Continually evaluate and implement changes as necessary to ensure the smooth running of the station per the company policies and procedures and as instructed by the Director of Operations.
- Oversee the maintenance of all equipment and vehicles.
- Constantly monitor all expenses under their control to attain the lowest cost for the highest service or supplies needed.
- Assist the Director as necessary and comply with all TSA rules and regulations governing the company's operations, including all manuals, proper permits, and bonds, ensuring that all are current.
- Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations. Maintain accurate records related to operations, maintenance, and staffing. The Station Manager position reports to the Director of Operations.
Key Functions:
- Responsible for the day-to-day operation in the warehouse.
- Maximize productivity effectively and efficiently.
- Supervise, discipline, direct, train, and motivate all warehouse staff.
- Responsible for monitoring and acting on all operational emails and requests.
- Ensure there is always proper staffing in the warehouse to complete the day's operational activities.
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Develop and enforce safety and compliance procedures.
- Ensure the integrity of all data in Scanner One, including, but not limited to, ensuring all shipments are gatewayed in the system, bagged, and prepared for departure.
- Confirm all shipments have departed and have been closed in the system.
- Perform all other tasks/duties as required.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree is preferred, or relevant managerial experience may be considered.
- MUST be knowledgeable in import and export freight forwarding and logistics, with a minimum of 5 years of experience and a strong TSA background.
- MUST have a strong domestic and international transportation background, including airline carrier knowledge and recovery and delivery operations.
- MUST be able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment and motivate and direct staff while maintaining profitability.
