IBM is looking for a Sr. Technical Writer who is a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Risk and Compliance within our Government services and ensuring that cloud environments meet the required security standards. You will be responsible for working with internal security, technology, legal, and business stakeholders as well as with third-party auditors to communicate compliance mandates and maintain compliance against published standards. You will be leading small and large technical document development efforts requiring you to ask questions others don’t. As a technical writer, you’ll bring your technical and analytical background to work. You’ll develop and review documentation and presentations for our teams. You’ll help identify, analyze, and evaluate complex systems, policies, and processes to ensure documentation follows the appropriate formats and content for its purpose.
Responsibilities :
- Knowledge of multiple writing style guides and requirements using Microsoft (MS) Office product suite, including designing and developing in PowerPoint.
- Ability to develop and lead FedRAMP documentations such as the System Security Plan (SSP) and all its associated documentations such as the incident response plan (IRP), the Configuration Management Plan (CMP), etc., and the various policies and procedures.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Work with other writers to improve how we write and evolve how we approach technical documentation as a team.
- Partner cross-functionally across the organization to support the implementation of technical, management, and operational controls, with a focus on controls required to deliver and operate regulated environments.
- Contribute to the development and adherence of FedRAMP policies and controls.
