Role: Finastra Technical Consultant
Location: San Antonio, Texas

Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate deep expertise and hands-on experience with the Finastra Summit OTC derivatives platform.
- Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in OTC derivatives products and their lifecycle, including trade processing, settlements, and regulatory reporting.
- Manage and optimize OTC derivatives-related workflows, including:
- Confirm/affirm process
- Trade capture
- Central Counterparties (CCPs)
- ISDA agreements
- Oversee collateral management activities, including margin calls, collateral agreements, and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to collateral management.
- Work with DTCC Report Hub to manage regulatory reporting and ensure accurate and timely submissions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders on regulatory reporting requirements and implementations.
- Provide technical consultation and support to internal teams, clients, and stakeholders on the Finastra Summit OTC derivatives platform.
- Assist in troubleshooting technical issues, analyzing system performance, and implementing solutions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, and training materials for the Finastra Summit platform.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for internal staff and clients on platform functionalities and best practices.
- Work closely with business analysts, developers, and project managers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies regarding platform-related matters.
Technical Skills & Expertise:
- Proficiency in PL/SQL for Oracle and T-SQL for MS SQL Server, including stored procedures, triggers, and database optimizations.
- Hands-on experience with Finastra Summit customization using Java, C#, or Finastra's proprietary scripting language.
- Experience with web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like Angular, React.
- Expertise in integrating financial systems using APIs, web services, and messaging protocols (e.g., RESTful APIs, SOAP, JMS).
- Strong data analysis and data modeling skills, including experience with reporting tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar BI tools.
- Knowledge of version control systems like Git for code repository management and collaboration.
- Experience working within Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and user story management.
- Proficiency in documentation tools such as Confluence & SharePoint for project documentation and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 13 years of hands-on experience with the Finastra Summit OTC derivatives platform in a techno-functional role.
- Deep understanding of:
- OTC derivatives products and lifecycle
- OTC derivatives workflow
- Confirm/affirm process
- Trade capture, CCPs, and ISDA agreements
- DTCC Report Hub
- Collateral management, margin calls, and regulatory reporting
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the financial services industry.
