What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Material Handler position at INTERNATIONAL CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT?
International Construction Equipment, Inc, a leading manufacturer of pile driving and drilling equipment, is seeking a Production Material Handler in our Matthews, NC machining and fabrication shop. We are located outside of southeast Charlotte and offer a fast-paced work environment with opportunity for growth and professional development. As a Production Material Handler, you will support production activities through ensuring consistent inventory control to include cycle counts, internal movement of material, and timely data maintenance in the ERP system.
Responsibilities and Competencies:
- Leading the production shop in maintaining consistent inventory control, both material and chemical – and anticipating reorder needs for production activities.
- Ability to utilize multiple types of forklifts and pallet jacks to unload and store parts, supplies and raw materials.
- Verifying packing lists against items received and the purchase order (PO) in the Epicor ERP system.
- Conducting cycle counts and periodic inventory assessments and ensuring consistency within the ERP system.
- Making sure storage areas are maintained, clean, and kept to OSHA safety standards.
- Cut material with a saw.
Qualifications:
- Forklift experience, certification preferred
- Familiarity with navigating manufacturing ERP systems; experience with EPICOR preferred
- Ability to operate a saw
- Minimum 2 years working in a warehouse environment with inventory or logistics experience
- Proficient computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and basic troubleshooting
- Efficient time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds and move product over 200 pounds.
This position is required to work in a shop-floor environment with periods of loud noise and extreme temperatures. The work week is primarily Monday through Friday with overtime as directed by business needs.
