Technician

POSITION SUMMARY: 

Troubleshoot and repair electronic assemblies and equipment. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Test electronic units using standard test equipment and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment
  • Working knowledge of oscilloscopes, DMM, Huntron component analyzer and Function Generators
  • Reassemble and test product after repairs
  • Use blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering / manufacturing instructions for assembling, testing and repairing electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components
  • Maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment and to record repairs necessary to units
  • Adjust and replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry and electronics components according to IPC Standards

 

            POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • Good computer skills with working knowledge of Windows format
  • Must be able to lift up to 40lbs and stand and/or sit for long periods of time
  • Ability to work required overtime to support manufacturing needs and requests from our customers
  • Train and assist test personnel when necessary
  • Ability to professionally communicate issues with customers

Education & Experience: 2-year associate's degree in the electronics field or if promoted within, achieved and demonstrated a high level of knowledge and ability in the TEST function. (Must be approved by management)
