What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electronics Technician position at International Control Services, Inc.?
Technician
POSITION SUMMARY:
Troubleshoot and repair electronic assemblies and equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Test electronic units using standard test equipment and analyze results to evaluate performance and determine need for adjustment
- Working knowledge of oscilloscopes, DMM, Huntron component analyzer and Function Generators
- Reassemble and test product after repairs
- Use blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, and engineering / manufacturing instructions for assembling, testing and repairing electronics units, applying knowledge of electronic theory and components
- Maintain system logs and manuals to document testing and operation of equipment and to record repairs necessary to units
- Adjust and replace defective or improperly functioning circuitry and electronics components according to IPC Standards
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Good computer skills with working knowledge of Windows format
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs and stand and/or sit for long periods of time
- Ability to work required overtime to support manufacturing needs and requests from our customers
- Train and assist test personnel when necessary
- Ability to professionally communicate issues with customers

Education & Experience: 2-year associate's degree in the electronics field or if promoted within, achieved and demonstrated a high level of knowledge and ability in the TEST function. (Must be approved by management)
