Part-time Housekeeper/Janitor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in our facility, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role is crucial in upholding the standards of hygiene and cleanliness in both commercial and residential settings.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to ensure all areas are clean and well-maintained.
• Launder linens and other fabrics as needed to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and other common areas to promote health and safety.
• Manage housekeeping tasks effectively, ensuring that all cleaning supplies are stocked and organized.
• Conduct floor care activities such as stripping, waxing, and buffing floors to maintain their appearance.
• Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to requests from building occupants or management.
• Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned, including deep cleaning or seasonal maintenance tasks.

Skills

• Proven experience in custodial or commercial cleaning environments is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping management practices and techniques.
• Familiarity with floor care equipment and techniques for various surface types.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
• Attention to detail with a strong commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.

Pay: $17.91 - $18.61 per hour

Expected hours: 3 – 10 per week

• Evening shift
