Our top candidates share our commitment to helping students build the skills to create a future of which they can be proud.Position SummaryThe VP of Human Resources is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing and managing all HR operations, ensuring compliance, and driving initiatives to support organizational goals. This role requires expertise in recruitment and talent development, employee and labor relations, employee benefits administration, compliance and policy training, and employee engagement. The VP of Human Resources is also tasked with fostering a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement.Primary / Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide HR Leadership : Oversee all core functions of human resources and corresponding HR team members, including recruitment and talent development, employee and labor relations, employee benefits administration, providing guidance on leaves / accommodations, managing separations, compliance and policy training, and employee engagement.Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements while aligning with the company’s strategic goals.Maintain familiarity with laws and regulations such as ADA, ADEA, FMLA, OSHA, FLSA, and CFRA.Manage employee and labor relations, employee performance, workplace investigations, employee separations, corrective performance measures, and ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires, all while maintaining a strong organizational culture.Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall effectiveness of the HR function as well as organizational-wide approach to culture, employee engagement, and talent retention.Drive the talent management process and work with leadership to ensure the execution of individual development plans and succession plans.Continually assess the competitiveness of all programs and practices against the relevant comparable companies, industries, and markets.Lead and mentor the HR team, drive performance management, and collaborate with senior leadership to address business challenges.Partner with legal on escalated employee issues, employee claims, and litigated matters.Manage the budget and other financial measures and metrics of the Human Resources Department.Contribute to the company’s short and long-term strategic operating plan.Maintain responsibility for the department-wide budgeting process and reporting.Other duties as assigned.Essential Skills And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in human resources or related field.Preference to candidates that maintain credentials as a Certified Human Resources Professional (SHRM-CP or SPHR).10-15 years experience as a high-level HR executive.Experience working in a professional, corporate environment with a minimum of 1,500 employees.Preferred experience in a diverse workforce of a multi-state organization.Excellent in MS Office applications.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Accurate, organized, and detail-oriented.Strong team player, reliable, and efficient.Strong customer service skills.Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities.Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.Want to join us?
