- 3 years of product marketing work experience with AT LEAST 2 recent years working for an OEM / ODM / JDM / CM manufacturer of industrial computers or network appliances
- Familiarity with Intel PC or embedded PC hardware technologies and trends
- Familiarity working with OS (Windows, Linux) and RTOS (Real Time OS)

- Work with sales and customers to identify technical requirements and provide product solution proposals for project
- Teamwork with Sales and NPI engineer to achieve project design-win and move forward to mass production
- Review RFP / RFQ, understand customer’s technical requirement, and specify or provide winning proposals
- Manage product’s lifecycle in the project, from design concept, development, production release, and revision changes to end-of-life
- Timely update project technical issue status and to-do items
- Lead NPI and technical support team to meet technical-related requirements
- Work with cross-functional departments (such as quality, purchasing, production, etc.) to share project technical requirements and provide deliverables on time
- Constantly provide market feedback to Company headquarters for new or future product development
- Work as the solution advisor and technical liaison for assigned accounts or projects
- Perform technical engagement in assigned accounts to secure refreshment design-win and new project design-win
- Maintain, generate, and / or provide required technical documents according to ISO procedures
- Initiate, goal-setting and implement marketing programs to generate leads and promote Company brand solutions
- Provide market trend analysis, product technical standards, and application training for business departments

Overview : The role has two different dimensions. First, the PM acts as a Sales Engineer working with business development teams to meet with customers and respond to RFI / RFQ regarding designs for various IPC or network appliances. The PM works with the sales team to design products based on clients’ specifications (i.e., we need to use this type of processor to achieve the latency requirement for our client). The PM needs to have a good background in computer hardware to recommend the best solution. Candidates not comfortable with leading the design of the technical specs of these products will not be a fit.
The next phase of the role will be to manage introducing the new product for the hardware being proposed to the customer. This will include working with Product Engineering teams to build the test cases / scenarios to ensure the product meets customer specifications. Once the project is won, the PM will work frequently with teams in Fremont, CA, and at the company’s headquarters in Taiwan to ensure the product goes to mass production on time and retains the quality specifications.
