The Need
For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM's Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Vice President, HR Operations.
The Vice President, HR Operations is a strategic leadership role within the Global People Support division, and it is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of HR operations. This includes developing and implementing compensation and benefits frameworks, ensuring compliance with international and domestic labor laws, managing HR policies, and leading HRIS team and HR analytics to drive informed decision making throughout the organization. This role will lead a team of 3-4 direct reports and work collaboratively with other senior leaders to support IJM's strategic goals and objectives.
This position is based in the Washington, DC area and is available to be hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays). It reports to the Chief People Officer and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the US.

- Develop the total rewards strategy in alignment with IJM's core values and objectives.
- Provide leadership and strategic guidance for the development and management of the global job architecture, ensuring consistent job leveling and compensation structures across all regions.
- Oversee the creation and implementation of promotion guidelines and policies that align with organizational objectives.
- Conduct global compensation benchmarking, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring competitive compensation packages.
- Oversee the administration of US employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Develop, update, and maintain employee handbooks across the globe, to ensure they reflect current policies and practices, and are fully aligned with IJM's organizational values and objectives.
