Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate educator to fill the role of Special Education Teacher. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities. Knowledge of specialized curriculum and instruction, as well as the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process and Individual Education Plan (IEP) goal-setting process and implementation, are also essential requirements.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality instruction and support to students with special needs, including developing and implementing individualized education plans.
- Assess student learning styles and use results to plan instructional activities and academic intervention plans.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and provide regular progress updates to parents and guardians.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and supportive learning experience.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices and stay up-to-date with best practices in special education.
