This position involves providing instructional assistance to students under the direct supervision of a certified teacher.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing, conducting, and managing classroom activities.
- Support teachers in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.
- Administer and score objective testing instruments or work assignments.
- Maintain a neat and orderly classroom environment.
- Care for and maintain equipment.
- Keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
- Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
Student Management:
- Supervise students throughout the school day, including lunchroom, bus, and playground duty.
- Identify special needs or problems of individual students and notify the teacher.
Additional Duties:
- Participate in staff development training programs to improve job performance.
- Attend faculty meetings and special events as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by your immediate supervisor.
