Main Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in preparing instructional materials and maintaining a neat and orderly classroom.
- Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
- Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
Student Management:
- Help meet the individual needs of students, including transferring to and from wheelchairs, lifting and positioning, interpreting instructions, and assisting with physical needs and personal care.
- Manage mild behavior of assigned students, providing verbal de-escalation when necessary.
Major Skills and Qualifications:
- Ability to work with children with disabilities.
