About the Job
The International Leadership of Texas is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching and Learning Director to join our team. This role will focus on developing and implementing effective teaching strategies, improving student outcomes, and enhancing the overall quality of education.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students, incorporating accommodations for individual differences.
- Collaborate with special education teachers to modify curricula for students with Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Conduct regular assessments of student progress and adjust instructional approaches as needed.
- Work closely with other staff members to determine instructional goals, objectives, and methods aligned with district requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Military service experience (minimum 4 years Active Duty, National Guard, or Reserves) is preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexibility, organization, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Interpersonal skills with diverse populations in-person and on the telephone.
- Knowledge of company community, computer systems, financial procedures, and legal requirements.
Working Conditions
- Work inside, may work outside; regular exposure to noise.
- Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting.
- Frequent walking; regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds); may lift and move text books and classroom equipment.
