International Marine Systems are seeking a wide range of skilled and experienced individuals to join the IMS service technician team. The minimum requirement for the position is six months of experience. Depending on experience, the service technician will be responsible for providing maintenance, repair, and installation services on marine vessels. IMS specializes in various marine systems, including dynamic positioning, automation systems, CCTV systems, VSAT, TVRO, PA/GA, steering, and electrical systems.
This is a full-time position with opportunities for career growth and advancement.
Job Duties
The service technician will:
- Provide customer service and support during field visits and tie workflow to schedules to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Manage all on-site installation, maintenance, repairs and testing tasks to ensure proper documentation of all related processes.
- Diagnose errors and technical problems and determine proper solutions to produce timely and detailed service reports.
- Collaborate with the technical team and share information across the organization to build positive relationships with clients and coworkers.
- Satisfy customer needs by making appropriate recommendations and briefings using appropriate field automation systems, procedures, and protocols.
- Establish assistance by studying system requirements, including ordering and gathering essential components and parts, completing the installation, and performing quality-assurance tests.
- Complete and turn in job tickets per requirements set forth by management.
Requirements
The service technician must have:
- A technical degree with certification and/or on-the-job experience.
- The ability to test, troubleshoot, service, and repair automated equipment.
- The ability to adapt to dynamic work schedules and flexible shifts.
- Familiarity with mobile applications and tools.
- The ability to lift maximum 60 pounds.
- The ability to travel out of state and internationally.
