Position Overview

International has a great opportunity for a Director of Sales Operations & Demand Planning.
The Director of Sales Operations & Demand Planning is responsible for leading the development of volumes planning for the strategic plans, budget and sales and operations (S&OP) processes to align demand planning with production and optimize sales performance.
This role involves managing sales data and analytics to provide actionable insights and ensuring effective cross-functional collaboration with Production and Logistics, Procurement, Finance, and Supply Chain teams.
The Director oversees forecasting and demand planning to align market needs with production capabilities and facilitates the adoption and management of demand forecasting technologies and will manage the implementation of emissions initiatives, including carbon emissions reduction and voucher program administration
Additionally, the role will manage the relationship with General Motors on production of Class 4-5 vehicles for distribution through GM and International sales channels.
Responsibilities
Sales Data Management & Analytics
- Oversee the design and maintenance of sales databases and reporting systems.
- Analyze sales metrics to provide actionable insights for the Commercial leadership and sales teams.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests related to historical volume metrics (for example, orders, production, retail deliveries, inventory, etc)
Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Lead demand planning efforts to align production and supply chain requirements with customer demand.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of sales forecasts at both macro (overall revenue) and micro (product level) levels.
- Collaborate with marketing, finance, and operations to ensure holistic business planning.
- Develop digital tools to enhance forecast accuracy.
Production Coordination
- Represent the Sales function in collaboration with OTD and other internal stakeholders to maximize customer build date accuracy and production efficiency.
- Coordinate component availability and trade-offs to address constraints effectively.
- Support Sales and interface with OTD in the management of the orderboard in response to component constraints, product launches, etc.
- Serve as a counterpart to OTD leadership, actively participating in the Monthly Business Review (MBR) process.
Sustainability and Carbon Emission Reduction Initiatives
- Develop, coordinate, and manage activities related to carbon emission reduction strategies and other regulatory requirements (USMCA, etc), including compliance with CARB, GHG III, NOx.
- Administer and manage voucher programs aimed at supporting sustainability goals.
Leadership
- Motivate and lead a high performance team by attracting, developing, engaging and retaining team members
- Represent International with Dealers and Customers in the process of developing and implementing the Commercial Strategy
- Drive the performance management and compensation processes by communicating job expectations, monitoring and evaluating performance, providing feedback and facilitating employee development per the company’s policies
- Maintain transparent communication by appropriately communicating organization information to team through department meetings, one-on-one meetings, appropriate email, IM and regular interpersonal communications.
- Lead and motivate individuals and teams to create a workplace culture that is consistent with the International’s mission and values.
- Protect International’s reputation by keeping information confidential.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 14 years of sales planning, sales, project management, analyst or marketing experience
- At least 6 years management experience

- At least 12 years of sales planning, sales, project management, analyst or marketing experience
- At least 6 years management experience

- At least 16 years of sales planning, sales, project management, analyst or marketing experience
- At least 6 years management experience
Additional Requirements
- Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Progressive experience in sales, demand or other planning, manufacturing, or a similar field.
- Proven experience leading teams
- Understanding of production processes, component supply chain management, and trade-off analysis.
- Understanding of sales processes.
