Position Overview
International Motors is seeking a Materials Lab Quality Engineer who will design methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating for usage in powertrain systems. Performs analysis of reports and data in qualifying or troubleshooting materials. Perform and develop qualification testing and cleanliness requirements for materials used in assembly of powertrain components. Provide technical support and disposition of nonconformances through testing and analysis of materials. Assure compliance to all applicable specifications and standards.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the investigation of causes of quality problems by providing analysis and technical reports of materials.
- Responsible for 2 labs. Cleanliness testing and Chemical/physical labs
- Prepare quantitative or qualitative reports issuing analyses and reports on products
- Proficient with highly technical lab equipment – SEM, FTIR etc.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 2 years of Engineering and Quality Assurance experience
OR
- Master’s degree
OR
- At least 4 years of Engineering and Quality Assurance experience
Additional Requirements
- Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Desired Skills
- Experience in resource/people management, laboratory environment and industrial metrology.
- Leadership skills to direct and develop other personnel to accomplish objectives.
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Proficient with Microsoft suite software.
