Project Manager Lead-Tech

The Project Manager Lead - Tech is responsible for tracking and implementing appropriate procurement activities that affect current product models, features, and parts

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with a broad team on identifying and implementing procurement and other source-initiated activities to manage cost reductions, part resourcing, and supplier requests. The candidate will work to integrate these activities in the Red Arrow process

• P21 program manager for the delivery of engineering resources to support Procurement initiatives for sustaining production (Red Arrow) -- includes P21 Change Control Board, Supplier Requested Changes, TechM Commodity Management Team project, forced vendor changes
• Manage Salesforce application for all non-zero Design entries (includes effective use of calculation tools, screening all sustaining program releases for cost changes that need to be entered, material cost reduction goal setting and reporting)
• Traton PCO collaboration with the Red Arrow team in the other brands
• Partner with Purchasing and Manufacturing for strategic decisions and issue resolution for current product items
• Present regular reports to Senior Leadership on cost reduction activities and status

• Bachelor’s degree
• At least 5 years of technical project/program management experience

OR

• Master’s degree
• At least 3 years of technical project/program management experience

OR

• At least 7 years of technical project/program management experience

• Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. • OEM experience in product development process
• Strong background in automotive and transportation system product development
• Familiarity with cost reduction activities and principles of application
• Aptitude for learning new systems and to improve department development
• Ability to understand complex topics and break them down to actionable task
• Well-hone critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to set and manage priorities
• Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to present ideas effectively
• Excellent interpersonal skills and experience interacting with business associates
• Track record of delivering cost reduction ideas across the engineering organization
