Position Overview
International's Dealer Education is looking for a Senior Technical Course Developer.
The Senior Technical Course Developer designs and develops technical training curriculum, interfaces with engineering to develop specifications for course content, and utilizes technical documentation to create training to fit our customer needs. In this position you will be responsible for defining and meeting course objectives by utilizing technical documentation to ensure our customer’s needs are met.
Responsibilities
- Ensures that training courses address all levels of customers in the use of company products/services
- Designs course outlines, gathering supporting technical documentation and developing course workbooks and trainer notes
- Design course labs to support training objectives
- Assesses customer needs for future course development
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 2 years of technical training curriculum and/or automotive or Heavy Duty industry experience
OR
- Master’s degree
OR
- At least 4 years of technical training curriculum and/or automotive or Heavy Duty industry experience
Additional Requirements
- Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
Desired Skills
- Experience within the Automotive/Heavy Truck industry
- Prior experience in Arbortext or similar HTML / XML editor
- Experience in Navigating 3d models
- Ability to maintain Learning Management Systems
- Communication skills, both verbal and written
- Technical editing experience
- Ability to effectively cope with change
- Time management skills – can organize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet specific deadlines
- Ability to establish relationships and encourage cooperation between organizations
- Ability to follow-up and drive for results/resolutions
- Work effectively in a team environment
- Experience with fabrication and tooling
- Storyline 360 or likewise experience
