Position Overview
International has a great opportunity for a Supply Chain Industrial Engineer in our Springfield, Ohio facility.
Responsibilities
- Deployment of Lean Material Flow strategies at the plant and supporting warehouse
- Establish and maintain time studies for plant specific materials team members
- Establish and maintain standard work instructions for plant specific materials team members
- Provide Industrial Engineering analysis on cost improvement initiatives
- Ownership of layouts for supply chain managed footprints
- Support and track Lean Assessments and Value Stream Mapping sessions
- Define local CIR’s, gap closure plans and project plans based off of plant Supply Chain Engineer’s findings through project management functions
- Develop/maintain 5S, KPI programs for supporting warehouse(s)
- Monitor plant/warehouse Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)and implement corrective actions for KPIs that fall below allowable thresholds
- Identification, participation from IE perspective, and implementation of cost savings and waste elimination initiatives
- Ideal Warehouse and Replenishment up keep and validation at WHQ level
- Interface with PFEP/Containers team for part planning accuracy, compliance and feedback
- Support plant Supply Chain Engineers and 3PL providers as needed
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree
At least 5 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience
OR
Master's degree
At least 3 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience
OR
- At least 7 years of supply chain, engineering or manufacturing experience
Additional Requirements
- Qualified candidates, excluding current International Motors employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. International Motors does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
Desired Skills
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent field, or equivalent experience in the field
- Experience in Industrial Engineering or related area
- Experience in establishing and maintaining time studies
- Experience with AutoCAD
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Familiarization with a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with/in Union environment
- Knowledge of Logistics and Transportation processes preferred
- Lean and/or Sig Sigma training
- Experience with project design, execution and sustainment
- Experience conducting VSM and Kiazan sessions
- Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
- Hands on knowledge of WMS, YMS, and TMS systems
